The Kosovo Local Government Institute
, as part of its implementation of the Social Auditing project in municipalities, has established a social auditing team in the Municipality of Kaçanik. 
In collaboration with the Local Organization Gjethi, an initial training session was organized for the social auditing team 
, which is composed of citizens from diverse professional backgrounds, representatives of local organizations, youth, and other community members. The group ensures comprehensive representation and addresses the varied needs of the community in this process 
.
The training participants enhanced their understanding of local governance operations , mechanisms for citizen participation in decision-making 
, as well as the concepts and steps of social auditing. 
The acquired skills will enable them to conduct independent audits based on the highest standards of transparency .
The social auditing team in Kaçanik will review two projects funded by the Performance Grant and will closely collaborate with local authorities 
to ensure the implementation of their recommendations. 
The Social Auditing project is supported by the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA) and aims to strengthen transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement in decision-making processes.
