The Municipality of Gjilan is part of the Social Audit at the local level, which has started in nine municipalities in Kosovo. During the Social Audit training, the group of social auditors in Gjilan understood the importance of their engagement in monitoring capital projects in the municipality. This approach helps increase public awareness and empower the voice of citizens in dealing with local authorities in delivering services and better implementing capital projects.
