The Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) within the first module of the “Academy for Local Government – LGA” program has organized a study visit to the Local Self-Government Support Agency (AMVV) in the Republic of Albania.
During this visit, a delegation led by the director of the KLGI Institute, Mr. Valmir Gashi with the participation of Kosovo municipalities and civil society activists were welcomed by the General Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ms. Enea Hoti and the Director of the Agency for Local Self-Government Support (AMVV) in the Republic of Albania Mr. Arben Skenderaj.
The purpose of this visit was to grasp good practices and achievements in Albania in the process of reforming and advancing local government. The Republic of Albania has become a good model for the advancement of efficient services for citizens.
At the focus of this, the Executive Director of the KLGI Institute, Valmir Gashi, appreciated the importance of sharing experiences and advanced practices in the field of local governance. According to him, thi sis highly important is in order to provide efficient and effective services in continuous and transparent communication with citizens.
The KLGI Institute is dedicated to analyses and studies that contribute to the effective practices of local governance in Kosovo. Additionally, through educational programs, KLGI Institute contributes to increase the capacities of the country’s municipalities.
The activity was carried out in the framework of the program “Dialogue for European Municipalities” (DEM), supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Kosovo.
