As part of the project ‘Partnership for Social Audit in the Municipality,’ the citizens of the municipality of Ranilug have initiated engagement in the Social Audit of capital projects funded by the Performance Fund.
Kosovo Local Government Institute, in cooperation with the local organization Center for Social Affirmation of Youth, organized training for the team of social auditors who will be involved in this process in the municipality of Ranilug.
Social audit is a process that involves citizens and civil society organizations in the evaluation of public services and capital projects, aiming to improve the transparency and accountability of public institutions. Through this initiative, KLGI aims to enable citizens to be an active part of monitoring the performance of local governance, expressing their opinions and concerns, as well as proposing necessary improvements for projects and public services.
The role of social audit is crucial in improving the quality of municipal services. By identifying problems and shortcomings, this process allows for quick and efficient interventions to enhance services. It also creates a platform for dialogue and cooperation between citizens and institutions, helping build trust and commitment to the sustainable development of the community.
The Social Audit project is developed with the support of the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA).
