Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) organized a workshop on the topic, ‘Identification of ambiguities, legal conflict and addressing in the process of reviewing the Law on Local Self-Government’.

The workshop aims to analyze / address the ambiguities and legal collisions identified by the implementation process in municipalities, in order to address the process of amending / drafting the Law on Local Self-Government.

Legal officials from the municipalities of Kosovo through this workshop addressed the problems they have faced in practice during their work and provided recommendations, which will serve the working group in the process of amending / drafting the Law on Local Self-Government.

This law establishes the legal basis of local self-government in the Republic of Kosovo, therefore the amendment of this law should serve to improve the functioning of local government in the Republic of Kosovo.

This event is part of the support of the KLGI Institute for the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA) from the component for advancing legislation and policies, which was implemented within the project ‘Dialogue for European Municipalities (DEM)’ funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Kosovo.
