They were welcomed by the Mayor of Kavaja, Fisnik Qosja. Valmir Gashi, the Executive Director of KLGI, presented the academy program and the purpose of the visit.
During the meeting, the focus was placed on several issues such as local economic development, access to funds/donations, and harnessing the potential for development. Among other things, they also discussed the role and vision of political leadership to strengthen the position and expansion of economic development in harmony with strategic documents and policies, as well as structured actions.
In particular, they aimed to give a broader dimension to the tourism potential in cultural, economic, and promotional aspects. This involved taking actions to ensure polycentric development, taking into consideration opportunities, and finding solutions to the challenges that arise in this path.
During the meeting, they also exchanged practices related to public mobilization and finding alternatives to make public actors stakeholders in local policies using innovative approaches.
