Kosovo Local Government Institute – KLGI organized the workshop with municipalities to discuss the National Program for Local Economic Development 2030. The purpose of the workshop was to provide consultations for municipalities in the final phase of drafting the National Program for Local Economic Development 2030. Participants were representatives from the Ministry of Local Government Administration, as well as the directors of the Directorates for Local Economic Development.
Local economic development aims to improve the lives of citizens by encouraging investment growth, stimulating enterprises with development potential, promoting the creation of new jobs, and improving infrastructure to facilitate cooperation between parties.
The National Program for Local Economic Development 2030 is a strategic document that offers a two-pronged approach to economic development. This document presents strategic development objectives and a detailed policy plan at the central and local levels, with the aim of sustainable development.
The purpose of the meeting was to address recent comments and discuss the challenges that municipalities face in the implementation of strategic documents such as the Economic Development Strategy.
The activity was carried out in the framework of the program “Dialogue for European Municipalities (DEM)”, supported by the Norwegian Embassy in Prishtina.
