The Kosovo Institute for Local Government (KLGI) organized a workshop on advancing the public funding process for NGOs at the local level.
During this workshop, findings from the monitoring report on public funding of NGOs in municipalities for the year 2022 and the monitoring process for the year 2023 were addressed. Additionally, issues raised by municipalities were discussed, providing proposals for improving the process.
The focus of the discussion was on strengthening cooperation between local governments and civil society, implementing a transparent and project-based approach to funding NGOs from municipal budgets to encourage greater citizen engagement in decision-making and improve the provision of local services.
This workshop was organized within the framework of the Citizen Engagement Program, a five-year initiative implemented by the Kosovo Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID Kosovo). KLGI is a partner of KCSF in implementing this activity.
