Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) published the analysis “Budget Process in Municipalities – citizens near or far”. This analysis is laid out in three key dimensions: Drafting of the Process, Contribution of the Public as well as the Role of the Municipal Assemblies.
Executive Director of KLGI Institute, Valmir Gashi and Program Manager, Besnik Muçaj, presented the analysis which consists data on the programming, Prioritizing, Consulting and the reflection of budget processes. In the analysis are presented convulsions and recommendations to improve the budget processes in municipalities, by providing good examples and practices.
Moreover, in the analysis a special attention was paid to the programming processes (problem identification, muncipal analysis as well as the following of strategies) as tools to increase the potential to apply for development funds and Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB).
