KLGI Institute organized a study visit for the municipalities related to the practices and models of co-creation of policies in the Municipality of Tirana.
Within the framework of the “Local Governance Academy – LGA” program, Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) organized the study visit to the Municipality of Tirana. The participants of the academy (officials from the municipalities of Kosovo and civil society), presided over by the Executive Director of the KLGI Institute, Mr. Valmir Gashi, visited the municipality of Tirana, where they were welcomed by the deputy mayor of the municipality, Mrs. Keti Luarasi and the director of Youth, Mrs. Iva Beharaj.
The purpose of the meeting consisted of the exchange of practices and models in the involvement of society, professionals and local communities in the co-creation of local policies. In particular, innovative platforms and projects were presented, where the Municipality of Tirana, through the professional engagement of civil society, actively involved local communities in policy-making and decision-making, increasing public ownership.
The Municipality of Tirana expressed its readiness to share all programs through the KLGI Institute and offer advice to the municipalities for implementation.
