Kosovo Local Government Institute – KLGI and Institute for Albanian Municipalities – IAM, signed a cooperation agreement in the field of local governance.

The cooperation agreement aims to strengthen local governance in Albania and Kosovo, based on European principles of local governance, and to advance experiences in the field of public management at the local level.

Through this cooperation agreement, KLGI and IAM will engage in: coordinating and supporting each other in developing policy documents and analyses in the field of local governance; sharing best practices to align local governance policies of respective countries with European ones; providing training programs and professional services in the field of local governance and organizing bilateral roundtables/conferences with countries in the region; coordinating actions and activities related to potential donors in Albania and Kosovo.

This agreement is a continuation of our joint commitment to advancing local governance in Kosovo and Albania. It will also serve as a good opportunity to expand our activities throughout the region.
