In an open discussion with the officials of the Municipality of Vitia , key issues related to the implementation of the legal framework for property rights were addressed—an area with a direct impact on the economic and social development of the community
. This discussion took place during a workshop organized by the Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) as part of the project “Public Information and Awareness Services for Vulnerable Communities in Kosovo (PIAKOS)”
.
The meeting aimed to raise awareness and improve the implementation of laws that protect property rights, particularly for women , youth
, and minorities
. Participants emphasized that only by strengthening legal and administrative mechanisms can stronger protection of property rights be achieved
. Additionally, various challenges were identified, and opportunities were provided for finding concrete solutions to address property issues at the local level
.
The project is implemented by ATRC and KLGI and is funded by the World Bank and the Peace and State-Building Fund.
