As part of the project “Civil Society Promoter of Public Contribution,” supported by national grants from SMART Balkans, the KLGI Institute held a professional support session for thematic groups in the Municipality of Klinë.
Professional facilitators discussed analyzed issues with coordinators and members of thematic groups on gender equality, minority communities, and marginalized groups. Based on their outreach plan, the thematic groups identified needs and analyzed problems with professional support. Now, in the phase of addressing municipal policies and funding, they received support for mapping.
This program aims for a two-way intervention: improving the capacities and advancing the practices of organizations and social activists for community engagement, and contributing to expanding public consultation with interest groups and advancing municipal policies and funding.
This meeting was conducted with support from the regional project “ SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Common Values in the Western Balkans,” implemented by the Center for Promotion of Civil Society (CPCD) in partnership with the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM Albania) and the Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM), and financially supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA).
