KLGI Institute continues to provide support to thematic groups within the project “Civil Society as a Promoter of Public Contribution,” financed by SMART Balkans.
Through these thematic groups, the involvement of citizens directly affected by municipal services has been ensured. The thematic groups have gathered data from statistics and reports on topics such as gender equality, persons with disabilities, and minority communities. These issues have been analyzed, and the data obtained, with professional support, have been linked to municipal legislation, strategies, policies, and finances.
During the monitoring process, the achieved results will be evaluated and promoted as successful models of engagement. Practices developed in targeted municipalities indicate a greater readiness for collaboration in creating policies between municipalities and representative groups.
This meeting was organized with the support of the regional project “SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Common Values in the Western Balkans,” led by the Center for Promotion of Civil Society (CPCD) in partnership with the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM Albania) and the Center for Research and Policy (CRPM), and funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway (NMFA).
