The Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) organized the first informative/consultative meeting within the framework of the project “Civil Society as a Promoter of Public Contribution” with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) at the local level in Vushtrri. Participants in the meeting included representatives from organizations for persons with disabilities, women’s organizations, social activists, and community organizations.
During the informative/consultative meeting, the process map was presented, including: the training of CSOs; involvement in the co-creation process, as well as direct contribution with underrepresented groups in local policies.
This project aims to consolidate CSOs at the local level, serving as a facilitator between local community initiatives and municipalities, increasing professional contributions, promoting regional initiatives, and advocating for European integration processes. The project also seeks to improve cooperation among representative groups, municipalities, and local communities.
This activity is implemented with the support of the regional project “SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Shared Society in the Western Balkans” implemented by the Centar za Promociju Civilnog Društva (CPCD) in partnership with the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) and the Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM), and financially supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway (NMFA).
