Tahiri will be engaged in the largest US Government project for implementing decentralization in Jordan.
He will present the findings of his study on decentralization by providing suggestions for the implementation of decentralized system policies adopted by the decentralization laws in Jordan. Professional presentations he has done before in front of the largest parliamentary groups in this country, which were welcomed, as they had hesitation over decentralization.
During this two-week stay, Tahiri will work on building an Advisory Unit for successful implementation of decentralization in Jordan.
“It is more than necessary to compile a guide for effective implementation of local governance reforms,” said Tahiri.
“Together with Lamar Cravens from USA and Fadi Riachi from Lebanon for two weeks we will work together to build from the very beginning the Advisory Unit for successful implementation of decentralization in the Jordanian government,” wrote Tahiri on Facebook.
“Since the first day it was a pleasure to be part of a team and mission so important supported by US State Department programs,” emphasized Tahiri.
He expressed that this commitment made him fill with honor and gave courage to follow firmly the path and engagement in the sphere of developing the local government and the decentralized public management system.
