KLGI continues to address issues concerning women and people with special needs

The KLGI Institute continues to address issues concerning women πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦³ and people with special needs β™Ώ in municipalities through thematic groups.

Through the project “Civil Society as a Promoter of Public Contribution,” supported by SMART Balkans 🌍, local organizations and social activists in the Municipality of Podujeva πŸ›, through thematic groups, have ensured full inclusion with the participation of directly affected citizens πŸ§‘β€πŸ€β€πŸ§‘, professionals πŸ‘¨β€βš•πŸ‘©β€βš•, and contributors in this field.

Thematic groups, through joint meetings with these social categories, have identified problems ⚠ and drafted specific requests that will be addressed to local authorities 🏒, aiming to include them in local policies πŸ“‹, with a particular focus on the municipal budget for 2025 πŸ’°.

The identified issues have gone through an analysis process πŸ“Š, where the extracted data, with professional support, have been integrated with legislation βš–, strategies, policies, and municipal funding πŸ’Ό.

KLGI will continue to monitor the addressing and implementation πŸ”, and the achieved results βœ… will be evaluated and promoted as models of engagement πŸ”. From the practices developed in the targeted municipalities, there is greater readiness for co-creating policies between municipalities and representative groups πŸ™.

🀝This meeting was organized with the support of the regional project ” SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Common Values in the Western Balkans”, run by Centar za Promociju Civilnog DoΕ‘tva (CPCD) in partnership with the Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM Albania) and the Center for Research and Politics (CRPM), and funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA).
